An American artist (Anne Kimbell) on vacation in Mexico faces an uphill battle convincing others she has glimpsed a giant monster in the ocean, even after a mysterious death. Complicating matters are those who acknowledge the existence of the creature but intend to worship it with a sacrifice. There seem to be some strong echoes of Creature from the Black Lagoon, which was released just a couple months before this one, but the story does head in different directions.

  Mildly recommended. Otto judiciously thinks this movie is OK, but not great.
