A small-time crook (John Thaw), his gal (Ingrid Hafner), and his pal plot to rob a bookie (Lee Montague) who doubles as a fence of a bundle they induce him to put together on the promise of loot from a different robbery. But unexpected actions on the part of their target complicate matters, and the gang must attempt an even more-complicated plan to get the cash they’re after. Fans of 1960s heist films will be unsurprised by the outcome, but the movie moves along briskly enough to hold the viewer’s interest. The ending seems a bit rushed, however.
Mildly recommended. Otto judiciously thinks this movie is OK.
