Scientists working to break the “time barrier” manage to establish contact with the distant future, as they are able to send items forward and have equivalents sent back to them, although the objects prove highly radioactive. One of the two is driven to push beyond safe limits, receiving radiation burns while doing so. When he rashly experiments even further, can his colleague and another scientist called in by the senior experimenter’s daughter prevent disaster? The behavior of the “terror” is insufficiently explained, and rather too much time is spent on the build-up, including the rapid development of a romantic triangle, and too little on battling the threat from the future.
Mildly recommended at best. Otto judiciously thinks this movie is OK, but not great.
Movie 501 for 2021.
