A wealthy young man (Douglas Fairbanks) who is mad about the “Wild West” gets a chance to experience it when a delegation from a western town approach his father, a noted financier, in hopes of a loan, and he in turn sends his son out to inspect conditions. Of course, the days of the frontier are long past for the settled inhabitants of the town, but they set out to provide a suitable show for the fellow, so that he will give his father a favorable report. The situation becomes much more complicated, however, when crooks decide to take advantage of the play-acting to stage a real crime. Can our hero save the day, and perhaps find love? Will the townsfolk get their loan? There’s plenty of humor and athletic action on display in this early Fairbanks feature.
Recommended. Otto finds this one pleasing enough to relax.
