A young man (Antonio Cantafora) foolishly recites an incantation that brings his long-dead, evil baronial ancestor back to life. Not long after, a mysterious wheelchair-bound millionaire (Joseph Cotten) seeks to restore the baron’s castle, and killings begin to occur. It falls to the young man and the millionaire’s assistant (Elke Sommer) to try to put an end to the deaths and identify and thwart the living dead baron. With some suspenseful sequences that deliver the horror, Baron Blood (original title: Gli orrori del castello di Norimberga) is worth a look for fans of the genre.
Mildly recommended. Otto judiciously thinks this movie is OK, but not great.
Movie 374 for 2021.
