Cheyenne Davis (Lash La Rue) and partner Fuzzy Jones (Al “Fuzzy” St. John) are sent in to investigate after the killings of three U.S. deputy marshals near Buffalo Gap, and they soon learn that Bill Judd (Jack Ingram) and his gang are bent on driving out the area’s settlers. Yet Judd is not the true leader of the crooks: Will Chey and Fuzzy be able to bring his crimes home to the boss and lift the burden of fear from the residents? This is a quick-moving, enjoyable entry in the series, with Jennifer Holt on hand as a ranch owner whose brother has been murdered and William Fawcett in a good role as her Uncle Bob.
Mildly recommended. Otto judiciously thinks this movie is OK, but not great.
Movie 305 for 2021.
