Poster for the movie Die blaue Hand

Die blaue Hand (1967)

Murders committed by a strange figure with a metallic claw follow the escape of a man (Klaus Kinski) committed to an asylum after the murder of his gardener, which he consistently claims he did not do. Could the killer instead be one of the other members of the family: his mother, his twin, his other brothers, his sister? Or someone else entirely? Scotland Yard’s Inspector Craig (Harald Leipnitz) investigates. There are ample twists; some humor courtesy of Craig’s superior, Sir John (Siegfried Schürenberg), and his secretary, Miss Mabel Finley (Ilse Pagé); colorful sets, a menacing doctor (Carl Lange); and more, making for a fun time.

Recommended. Otto finds this one pleasing enough to relax.

Movie 293 for 2021.
