The last of 16 Range Busters movies starring the original trio of Ray “Crash” Corrigan, John “Dusty” King, and Max “Alibi” Terhune (with Elmer) provides a reasonable amount of entertainment but offers nothing particularly original. Here, the boys are asked by an old friend to help put a stop to outlaws terrorizing a town and run into complications when it turns out that one of their friends is being duped by the crooks. As is not unusual, Elmer acts and interacts as an independent character, not merely as a ventriloquist’s dummy, adding an enjoyable touch of the odd.
Mildly recommended. Otto judiciously thinks this movie is OK, but not great.
