Poster for the movie Son of Oklahoma

Son of Oklahoma (Sono Art-World Wide, 1932)

A man takes in a young boy left stranded in the desert, and shares with him the secret gold mine discovered when he found the child. The boy grows to manhood with no knowledge of his parents, but both are in fact still alive and have parts to play in the young man’s efforts to clear his name, and that of his foster-father, regarding recent robberies, and bring justice to bear on the man responsible for breaking up the family so many years before. There’s a good deal of drama in this one, but enough action to keep things moving; Bob Steele makes an appealing hero as usual, and Earl Dwire again does a solid turn as a menacing villain.

Mildly recommended. Otto judiciously thinks this movie is OK, but not great.

Movie 83 for 2021.
