A grumpy and bedridden man is shot down while a storm rages. Which of his greedy relatives committed the crime? Or was it someone outside the family instead? A local clergyman investigates, using interviews with the various parties to discard the red herrings and eventually find the true killer, who is trapped thanks to a trick. This British “quota quickie” doesn’t really have “an all star cast,” and the directing is static and the performances stagey, but it is a mildly amusing way to spend a little time.
Mildly recommended. Otto judiciously thinks this movie is OK, but not great.
Movie 35 for 2021.
