Wandering cowboys Whip (Whip Wilson) and Bob (Tommy Farrell) break up a saloon confrontation and in the aftermath are offered jobs as marshals for the town, which is on the brink of a range war. More is going on than meets the eye, of course, and soon the boys are threatening to disrupt a conspiracy whose leaders had hoped to use them merely as tools. There’s nary a whip wielded in Whip Wilson’s final film for Monogram, and there’s nothing particularly distinguished about plot or performances. This is a satisfactory time-filler, but no more.
Mildly recommended. Otto judiciously thinks this movie is OK, but not great.
Movie 25 for 2021.
